Color Of Love

When my children were born, I remember positioning colorful baby toys all around them during their “awake” times.

From hanging shiny toys on their strollers to musical mobiles above their cribs to stimulating floor mats under their feet, all were bright and captivating with a varying assortment of textures and patterns.

There was no shortage of color and fun in our house! It was set up intentionally for play!

Even now that my kids are a bit older, their play space is still a colorful area that creates an atmosphere which encourages imagination, creativity, cheerfulness and a sense of fun.

It’s difficult to imagine a life void of color isn’t it?

I would have loved to see the faces of the people watching the first color movie or viewing color television for the first time all those years ago.

Many of our rescued children here at ZOE Children’s Homes are experiencing ‘color’ in their lives for the very first time.  Their experiences of a childhood filled with excitement and fun are just beginning…

Their eyes are seeing shades that they’ve never seen before, beauty that they never knew existed.

Their mouths are smiling and laughing more than they thought possible.

Their ears are hearing words like, “We love you” and “You’re a part of our family now.”

They’re now given books to read, games to play, songs to sing, and a wonderful welcoming home to grow up in, filled with lots of warmth and COLOR!
